    Selectboard Minutes

                           January 15th, 2009

The Selectboard met at the Danville Town Hall on Thursday January 15th, 2009. Marvin Withers called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Selectboard present were Marion Sevigny, Marvin Withers, Doug Pastula, Michael K Walsh and Denise Briggs. Also present were Wendy Somers, Kevin Gadapee, Angelo Incerpi, and Merton Leonard and visitors Ed Hebebran and David Machall. 

             Michael K Walsh corrected the January 8th minute's statement "allow Kevin to purchase the new truck" to "allow Kevin to order the new truck", and corrected the fire department budget allotment of $24,274, to $23,748. Michael moved to accept the January 8th minutes as corrected, Marion Sevigny seconded the motion, the minutes were approved as corrected.

                Kevin reported that winter road maintenance has slowed a bit to allow for equipment repairs and snow removal from intersections and village streets.  

             Ed Hebebran was present to express his continued interest in the vacant cemetery sexton position, and the mowing and maintenance  positions as well.

             Merton reported: the receipt of the FEMA 2007 payment for final reimbursement of the July 2007 storm damage of $2041.64; a payment was received of $651.45 for the one way signs on Highland Avenue as ordered by the Environmental Court of David Dodge, the developer of the Sugar Ridge Development; the annual meeting report and 2009 budget of Danville Rescue; and notice of the Conservation Commissions meeting on the Town Forests.

             The Board again reviewed the proposed budgets for 2009 and further reduced proposed amounts to closer reflect the amounts actually spent last year reducing both the Municipal and Highway budgets a significant amount.

             Michael K Walsh moved to go into executive session to discuss personnel; Marion Sevigny seconded the motion that was approved. The Board emerged from executive session at 8:59 with no action taken.

             With no other business, the Board adjourned at 9:00 PM.
