                                           Selectboard Minutes of

                                    Special June 27th, 2011 Meeting

 Chairman, Douglas Pastula called the meeting to order at 3:22 pm. Selectboard present were,  Douglas Pastula, Angelo Incerpi, Marvin Withers. Also present were: Town Clerk Wendy Somers, Kevin Gadapee, Merton Leonard, and Visitors, Bill Watson of Morrill Construction, and Jason Sicard from J P Sicard Construction.

The Construction bids were opened for road and river bank repair for washouts on Bruce Badger Highway and North Danville Road. Morrill Construction total bid was $181,305, J P Sicard total bid was $305,173, and Winterset total bid was $289,700. After some discussion, Marvin Withers moved to recommend Morrill Construction the winning bidder to VTrans , whom will select the contractor on this Federal Connector Highway repair. Angelo Incerpi second the motion which was approved.

The Town Insurance renewal is due June 30, 2011. This year the premium will be almost $2,000 less than last year. Angelo Incerpi moved to approve renewing the Town Insurance with the Sawyer Ritchie Agency and to authorize Douglas Pastula to sign the documents. Marvin Withers seconded the motion which was approved.

 The Town Sewer Discharge permit is due to expire December 31, 2011. The renewal has to be filed by June 30, 2011 and the timely filing of the permit with the $100. processing fee automatically extends the license until the Agency of Natural Resources acts on the renewal. Marvin Withers moved to apply to renew the Waste Water Discharge Permit and file the $100. processing fee and authorize Douglas Pastula to sign the application, Angelo Incerpi seconded the motion, which was approved.

It was noted that a VTrans Construction/Traffic meeting will be held on Thursday June 30th at 7:00pm at the Town Hall. A request for use of the Bandstand by the Pope Library for Sunday evening concerts was presented by David Hare. Marvin Withers moved to approved the request for this Sunday, but advised the Pope to check with Pike for the construction schedule for future dates. Angelo Incerpi seconded the request which was approved.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:10 pm on a motion by Marvin Withers that was seconded by Angelo Incerpi.
