<<  The Beach at Joe's Pond Open June 1st for the Summer >>

The West Danville Community Club continues to operate the beach for summer swimming at Joes Pond. They are working hard to raise money to pay for the beach operation and improvements. They need your continued support to insure its existence and success for years to come, and need additional help at this time to pay for much needed renovations to the beach facilities.  Donations may be left at Hastings Store or mailed to: West Danville Community Club, P.O. Box 6 West Danville, VT 05873.  If you have time and talents and wish to assist in the beach operation renovations Send a Note to Jill at the above address. As a note the water from the beach is tested every week during the summer, and for the past four years has never failed a test.

The Danville Farmers Market

The Danville Farmers Market opened the first week in June and goes through October. The weekly market is held on Wednesday Mornings this year one mile West of the Village on Route#2, watch for the signs.  Many local gardeners and farmers are setup every week with fresh vegetables, most picked that day. Many have signs indicating that their vegetables  are organically grown. Others sell donuts and bread that they have made, yarn that they have woven, maple syrup they have processed and goats cheese that they have made. Kurt has trout for sale that he raises. The new feature for this year is Vermont made wine, you can even sample it before you buy it! New vendors and new shoppers always welcome, it's worth the drive.
